Parrot Flower (Heliconia psittacorum) are often found decorating the green belt under the Light Rail Transit (LRT). The research of this study was to determine the effect of various stresses on the road median under the LRT line on the growth resistance of parrot flower (Heliconia psittacorum). This research was conducted from July to September 2023 in the median park of Jalan Kol. H. Burlian Punti Kayu KM 7, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The vegetation observation points were carried out at three points of the observation location, namely a. LRT 1 under the Punti Kayu LRT Station P-304 to P-305 (2°55'46.8"S, 104°43'00.2"E), b. LRT 2 under LRT P-246 to P-247 (2°94'23"S, 104°72'49"E), c. LRT 3) under LRT P-377 to P-378 (2°95'32"S, 104°73'47"E). The method used in research is the field observation method, namely by collecting data through direct observation in the field, through direct observation in the field observation of plant morphology as many as 3 parameters including plant height, number of leaf blades and number of flowering plants. Based on observations obtained from field observations, from the graph of morphological growth of parrot flower, the location that shows the best growth rate is LRT 2 (P-305). The location that showed a good growth rate was LRT 2 (P-305) compared to the other locations. This was evidenced by the highest mean value of observations found at LRT 2 location in the parameters of plant height and number of flowering plants, there is no difference in the parameter number of leaves ranging form 3 to 7 leaves in each location. There was an effect of light intensity on the morphology of parot flower seedlings, including differences in the physical appearance of leaves and stems. The lower the light intensity could increase the parameters of plant height and the number of flowering plants on the contrary could reduce leaf parameters in parrot flower.
