HUBUNGAN ANTARA FUTURE TIME PERSPECTIVE DAN SELF CONCEPT CLARITY PADA DEWASA AWAL
This study aims to examine the relationship between future time perspective and self-concept clarity in early adulthood. The hypothesis of this study states that there is a relationship between future time perspective and self-concept clarity in early adulthood. The population in this study consists of individuals in early adulthood, with a research sample of 221 early adults and an additional 50 early adults for try out. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The measurement tools include a self-concept clarity scale, which was modified by the researcher from Campbell's (1996) standard scale, and a future time perspective scale based on the aspects of future time perspective proposed by Husman and Shell (2008). The data analysis was conducted using Pearson’s product-moment correlation technique. The analysis results indicate a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an r-value of 0.567. This finding suggests a significant positive relationship between future time perspective and self-concept clarity, meaning that the lower the future time perspective, the lower the self-concept clarity, and vice versa. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is accepted.
