KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT TIMBAL (Pb) PADA TANAH ANDISOL YANG DITANAMI TEH (Camellia sinensis L.) DI PT. PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA VII UNIT PAGAR ALAM SUMATRA SELATAN
Heavy metals are dangerous pollutants because they cannot decompose naturally and tend to accumulate. The heavy metal lead (Pb) is a metal that can pollute the environment and is the most dangerous metal that can be contaminated by the use of fertilizer. Environmental pollution due to the heavy metal lead (Pb) is increasing rapidly and causing many problems, especially in the agricultural sector, because the heavy metal accumulates in the soil and is absorbed by plants. The aim of this research was to determine the content of the heavy metal lead (Pb) in andisol soil and its effect on pH, CEC and C-organic in tea plant soil. This research was carried out from July to November 2023 at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VII South Sumatra Pagar Alam Unit with a research area of around 86,286 hectares using a detailed survey method at a scale of 1:25.000. Soil sampling used the stratified sampling method. The results of the analysis show that the content of the heavy metal lead (Pb) in andisol soil ranges from 0.289 mg kg-1 to 0.580 mg kg-1; pH ranges from 4.79 to 6.45; CEC ranges from 7.5 cmol kg-1 to 35 cmol kg-1; and C-organic ranges from 1.50% to 4.95%. The research results showed that the content of the heavy metal lead (Pb) in andisol soil was still below the threshold and the chemical properties of the soil had no significant effect.
