PENGARUH PENINGKATAN SUHU KANDANG TERHADAP KADAR HEMATOKRIT DAN HEMOGLOBIN DALAM DARAH KAMBING
Global warming is closely related to an increase in the average temperature of the earth's surface which has a bad impact on livestock, one of which is reducing the productivity of goats. This study aimed to determine the effect of increasing cage temperature on hemoglobin and blood hematocrit levels of Kacang and Etawa goats. This research was conducted from December 2022 to January 2023, in a farm pen on Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method used the T test with 2 treatments, namely: normal temperature cage treatment (25 - 33°C) and cage treatment with a heater (26 - 39°C). The number of goats in this study was 6 Kacang goats and 6 PE goats aged 9 months - 1 year with 12 repetitions over 2 sampling periods. The hematocrit values obtained from normal temperature and heat treatment are 43.5% and 44.2% with a P value of 0.428 and for hemoglobin values at normal and hot temperatures are 10.5 g/dL and 10.9 g/dL with a P value of 0.151..The results of the data from the treatment showed that there was no significant difference in hematocrit and hemoglobin levels in pea goats and PE goats. Key words: Cage Temperature, Goats, Global Warming, Hematocrit And Hemoglobin
