FAKTOR FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI ALIH FUNGSI LAHAN PADI MENJADI LAHAN KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP PENDAPATAN DAN POLA KONSUMSI RUMAH TANGGA PETANI DI DESA MUKTIJAYA
Indonesia is a developing country with the majority of the population living in rural areas, namely approximately 70% and almost 50% of the total national workforce, the Indonesian people depend on their fate working in the agricultural sector. Land use can generally be grouped into two, namely agricultural and non-agricultural land use. Recently, many agricultural lands have changed their function, from food farming to non-food farming. Food agriculture, especially rice, is currently being converted to oil palm plantations, which is creating better economic conditions. The average resident in Muktijya Village makes a living as rice farmers, but currently many are converting land to oil palm. The aim of this research is to look at the process of land conversion, the factors that influence it, the differences in income of rice farmers and oil palm farmers and the consumption patterns of farmerswho do not carry out land conversion and farmers who carry out land conversion. This research was conducted in Muktijaya Village in September-December 2023. The research method used was a survey method, while sampling used proportional stratified random sampling. The results of this research are (1) The land conversion process is based on economic considerations, sustainability and environmental conditions. After the decision was taken, the land was converted from rice farming to oil palm plantations. (2) Factors that have a real influence on the farmer's decision to change land use from rice to mustard oil are the farmer's age and income. (3) there is a difference in income between rice and oil palm farmers, the average income of rice farmers in 1 hectare is IDR 19.079.912 ha/year while farmers who convert their land to oil palm have an average of IDR 30.478.557 ha/year. (4) Rice farmer household consumption patterns for food expenditure amounted to Rp.566.116/month (12.74%) and non-food expenditure amounted to Rp3.877.606/month (87.26%) while oil palm farmers' food expenditure amounted to Rp987.043/month (18.81%) and non-food expenditure of IDR 4.259.083/month (81.19).
