The existence of rice as a food ingredient for the Indonesian population cannot yet be replaced by other commodities, so the availability of rice in Indonesia must always be stable and adequate. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the availability and demand for rice in Banyuasin Regency from 2003-2022, (2) to predict the availability and demand for rice in Banyuasin Regency in 2023-2032, and (3) to analyze the influence of demand on the availability of rice in Banyuasin Regency. This research was carried out in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra from November 2023 to January 2024. The results of this research are (1) The availability and demand for rice in Banyuasin Regency in the 2003-2022 period always experiences a surplus, which means that the availability of rice in Banyuasin Regency is much greater than the need, (2) From the results of forecasting using quadratic model trend analysis, it is predicted that Banyuasin Regency will experience a rice surplus in 2023-2032. However, the availability and demand for rice in Banyuasin Regency in 2023-2032 will experience a significant decline, and (3) The linear regression test shows that demand influences the availability of rice in Banyuasin Regency with a significance value of 0.000.
