ANALISIS EFISIENSI DAN DAYA SAING INDUSTRI TEKSTIL INDONESIA
The textile industry contributes significantly to Indonesia’s economy, with its contribution reaching 6.4 persen in 2018, making it one of the five leading sectors in Indonesia’s non-oil and gas exports. From 2017 to 2022, the industry's average export contribution accounted for 4.5 persen of Indonesia’s total exports. However, Indonesia’s textile industry remains dependent on imports for raw material supplies and its buyer market. Additionally, limitations in technology adoption hinder production optimization, making it difficult to reduce costs and improve efficiency. This study aims to analyze the relationship between efficiency and competitiveness in Indonesia’s textile industry. The research employs a descriptive analysis method using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to assess efficiency, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to measure competitiveness, and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation to examine their relationship. The findings indicate that the industry achieved optimal efficiency from 2017 to 2021, with a score of 1.00, but experienced a slight decline in 2020 (0.99) and 2022 (0.97) due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the competitiveness of Indonesia’s textile industry declined, as reflected in the RCA value decreasing from 1.19 in 2017 to 0.81 in 2022, indicating the loss of comparative advantage in the global market. The relationship between efficiency and competitiveness exhibits a strong positive correlation, with a correlation coefficient r_yx of 0.8335.
