EVALUASI KECERNAAN ZAT–ZAT MAKANAN PADA AYAM BROILER YANG DIBERI SINBIOTIK HASIL FERMENTASI KULIT NANAS DAN DAUN Indigofera zollingeriana DALAM RANSUM
Synbiotics is a combination of prebiotics and probiotics that work synergistically with the aim of improving digestive tract health. Synbiotics can be used as an alternative feed additive to Antibiotic Growth Promotor (AGP). The health of the digestive tract will be related to the ability to absorb nutrients so that it will have an impact on the digestibility of food substances. Pineapple peel contains Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) which can be utilized as a natural prebiotic and substrate for the growth of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB). Lactic Acid Bacteria will lower the pH of the digestive tract so that pathogenic bacteria cannot grow in the acid environment. This can improve the health of the chicken's digestive tract. The use of synbiotics derived from fermented pineapple peel and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves has been proposed to improve feed digestion in broiler chicken. The present study employed Day Old Chick (DOC), synbiotics made by fermenting pineapple peel and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves, and commercial basal rations for the starter and finisher phases. This research was conducted at the Poultry Experimental House, Department of Animal Science Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, then digestibility analysis was conducted at the Animal Nutrition and Feed Laboratory from October to December 2024. The study was organized according to the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with five treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of basal ration without synbiotics (P0), basal ration with 0,5% synbiotic added (P1), basal ration with 1% synbiotic added (P2), basal ration with 1,5% synbiotic added (P3) and basal ration with 2% synbiotic added (P4). The parameters observed were dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility, crude fiber digestibility, and crude protein digestibility. The data obtained were analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method and duncan's further test. The results showed no significant effect on dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility, and crude fiber digestibility while having a significant effect on crude protein digestibility. The value of dry matter digestibility in this study ranged from 79,22-81,89%. The digestibility value of organic matter in this study ranged from 76,81-80,13%. The digestibility value of crude fiber in this study ranged from 46,58-48,58%. Crude protein digestibility values ranged from 65,27-81,20%. The conclusion of this study is the provision of synbiotics fermented pineapple peel and Indigofera zollingeriana leaves in the ration as much as 0,5% can increase the digestibility of crude protein, but has not been able to increase the digestibility of dry matter, digestibility of organic matter, and digestibility of crude fiber.
