PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PREBIOTIK HASIL FERMENTASI KULIT NENAS (Anenas comosus) DAN DAUN INDIGOFERA (Indigofera sp) TERHADAP STATUS HEMATOLOGI AYAM BROILER S
The growth of broiler chickens as broilers has a rapid growth and is widely maintained by the general public and farmers in Indonesia. Broiler meat production and maintenance time are relatively short. Pineapple peel (Anenas comosus) is a residual product produced during the processing of pineapple. Indigofera leaf (Indigofera sp) is a plant species used as feed and prebiotic in broiler chickens. Through fermentation, these pineapple peels and indigofera leaves can be converted into value added materials, in this case, prebiotics. Prebiotics are becoming increasingly common in poultry because they can increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system. This study aimed was to determine the effect of feeding pineapple peel and indigofera leaves on erythrocytes, leukocytes, and hemoglobin in the blood of broiler chickens. This research had been conducted from October to November 2023. This research had been conducted in the Experimental Cage of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Blood samples were analyzed in the laboratory of Sriwijaya University Health Clinic. The treatments consisted of P0 basal ration (without prebiotics), P1 prebiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves (0.25%), P2 prebiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves (0.50%), P3 prebiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves (0.75%) and P4 prebiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves (1.00%).
