This study aims to (1) Calculate the amount of consumption of packaged cooking oil by lower middle class and upper middle class households in Lorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City (2) Analyze the factors that affect the consumption of packaged cooking oil by lower middle class and upper middle class households in Lorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City (3) Describe the behavior of using and handling packaged cooking oil waste by lower middle class and upper middle class households in Lorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City. This research was conducted in Lorok Pakjo Village, Ilir Barat I District, Palembang City from September to November 2023. The research method used is the survey method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study are (1) The amount of consumption of packaged cooking oil by lower middle class households in Lorok Pakjo Village per capita is 0.87 liters per capita per month while in upper middle class household consumers per capita is 1.15 liters per capita per month., (2) The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the amount of packaged cooking oil consumption is significantly influenced by the price factor of packaged cooking oil and the number of members Families in lower middle class households while in upper middle class households are influenced by family income and number of family members, (3) The average use of cooking oil in lower middle class households is 176.7 ml every time cooking with a frequency of use of 3 times while in upper middle class households the average use of cooking oil is 151.7 ml every time cooking with a frequency of use of 2 times. Cooking oil waste is directly discharged into the home sewer without carrying out the processing process first.
