Certification is an important aspect of the organic rice business because with certification there is legal protection for the product. Organic certification also provides assurance to consumers that the products meet strict organic farming standards. Consumer confidence in organic rice products can increase with certification. The objectives of this study are (1) To find out the reasons why farmers choose organic rice production business both from economic and non-economic factors in Gapoktan Sumber Makmur, (2) To find out and explain how the procedures and requirements in obtaining organic rice certification in Gapoktan Sumber Makmur (3) To find out the factors that encourage and inhibit farmers and strategies to maintain organic rice certification in Gapoktan Sumber Makmur. This research was conducted in Sumber Suko Village more precisely Gapoktan Sumber Makmur using descriptive and historical methods and SWOT data analysis. The total number of informants interviewed was 8 organic rice farmers. Strategies that can be done in increasing farmers to carry out organic certification include SO strategies Increase the strength of the organizational structure to get assistance from the government and improve the quality of organic rice to gain trust.
