HUBUNGAN KUALITAS AIR BERSIH, FASILITAS MCK, DAN RIWAYAT DIARE TERHADAP KASUS STUNTING PADA BALITA DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR TAHUN 2024
Stunting is a developmental and growth disorder in toddlers that can cause long-term effects. In 2022, Ogan Ilir Regency ranked second in the highest stunting cases in South Sumatra, at 24.9%. Factors causing stunting, such as the high incidence of diarrhea and sanitation facilities that have not yet met the RPJMN target of 90%, have become a health issue in Ogan Ilir Regency. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the quality of clean water, sanitation facilities, and the history of diarrhea with stunting cases in toddlers in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2024. This study uses a case-control design with a sample size of 129 children aged 24-59 months from 13 stunting locus villages, using a 1:2 ratio of 43 cases and 86 controls. The inclusion criteria are toddlers diagnosed with stunting included as cases, and toddlers who are not stunted living around the cases included as controls. Questionnaires, interviews, observations, and water quality analysis are the methods used to obtain primary data. Univariate and bivariate analysis techniques (chi-square test) were used to analyze the data. The results of the bivariate analysis show that colored water sources have a p-value = 0.005 (OR=3.24; CI = 1.49-7.03), flavored water sources have a p-value = 0.004 (OR=3.67; CI=1.57-8.58), and smelly water sources have a p-value = 0.005 (OR=3.65; CI=1.53-8.71) are associated with stunting cases in toddlers. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between colored, flavored, and odorous water sources and stunting cases in toddlers in Ogan Ilir Regency in 2024.
