Stunting is a condition where a toddler has a short height compared to children of the same age or a height that is below the standard for child growth. Many factors cause stunting, namely parental care patterns, immunization, exclusive breastfeeding and community-based total sanitation, this community-based total sanitation is seen from SBABS, CTPS, PAMMRT, PSRT and PLCRT. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between community-based total sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Pagarsinondi, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency. This study is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design with a proportional random sampling technique with a sample size of 100 toddlers. Data collection for the study used interviews with research questionnaires. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the bivariate test with the chi square statistical test with 95% CI on the SBABS community-based total sanitation variable showed a p-value = 0.617, CTPS showed a p-value = 0.574, PAMMRT showed a p-value = 1.000, PSRT showed a p-value = 0.007 with PR 1.941 (1.224-3.80) and PLCRT showed a p-value = 0.104. The conclusion in this study is that the variable that is a risk factor for stunting is household waste management
