ANALIS FAKTOR FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI ALIH FUNGSI LAHAN PADI MENJADI LAHAN JAGUNG DI DESA AIR SATAN KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS SUMATERA SELATAN
Air Satan Village has experienced a significant increase in rice field conversion in recent years. Many farmers have switched from cultivating rice to other commodities such as fish ponds, corn, cassava, and horticulture. The largest shift occurred from rice fields to corn fields for animal feed, driven by declining rice productivity, limited irrigation water, and pest attacks, which resulted in decreased rice farmers' income. This study aims to (1) describe the process of land conversion from rice to corn, (2) analyze the factors influencing land conversion, and (3) compare the income of rice and corn farmers in Air Satan Village, Muara Beliti District, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra. The research was conducted using a survey method involving 40 respondents selected through disproportionate stratified random sampling. The descriptive analysis revealed that the main reasons for land conversion were practicality, pest attacks, and irrigation water constraints. Binary logistic regression identified farming income, family responsibilities, and irrigation constraints as significant factors in land conversion decisions, while farmer age, land area, farming experience, and non-agricultural income were not significant.
