Climate change affects the agricultural sector, potentially disrupting farmers' well-being due to reduced yields caused by natural disasters such as droughts and floods. These factors further impact the sustainability of the agricultural sector. The objectives of this study are: (1) To analyze the social capital model in relation to the sustainability of rice farming on irrigated land in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. (2) To measure the sustainability index of rice farming based on social, economic, and environmental aspects on irrigated land in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency using a survey method and simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS to examine relationships between variables. The results show that strengthening social capital, particularly supported by economic factors, is a crucial element in promoting agricultural sustainability in Sumber Harjo Village. Data collection was carried out in September 2024 using a survey method. The sample selection was conducted using simple random sampling, involving 39 rice farmers in Sumber Harjo Village. The data collected consisted of both primary and secondary data. The findings indicate that:(1) The model is valid and reliable in assessing the socio-economic impact on social capital and its effect on sustainable agriculture. Economic factors have a significant impact, whereas social factors do not. Social capital, formed through norms, trust, and networks, supports agricultural sustainability, particularly when reinforced by economic factors. (2) The sustainability index of rice farming in Sumber Harjo Village falls into the moderate category for the economic (71,87) and environmental (60,8) dimensions, while the social dimension is classified as very good (91,44).
