EVALUASI PROSES PELATIHAN KADER TENTANG PEMBERIAN MAKAN BAYI DAN ANAK (PMBA) DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS INDRALAYA
Infant and young child feeding (IYCF) is an effort used to prevent and reduce stunting. Inappropriate and improper implementation of IYCF can cause children to suffer from malnutrition. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the process of training cadres on IYCF in the working area of Indralaya Community Health Center. The evaluation was conducted by looking at the process description of the program. This study used a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, document review and observation. The 11 informants consisted of 6 key informants, namely 6 posyandu cadres and 5 expert key informants, namely 3 Village Midwives, 1 Nutritionist and Head of Puskesmas. The results showed that the training was effective in improving cadres' knowledge and skills, getting support from health workers and utilizing the facilities and infrastructure provided. Increased knowledge and skills have a positive impact on changes in cadre behavior in IYCF practices, which then ultimately contribute to improving the health and nutritional status of infants and children. Based on the evaluation results, it is recommended that cadre training be conducted regularly with continuous improvement in the regulatory and policy components.
