ANALISIS KUALITAS AIR MINUM ISI ULANG BERDASARKAN PARAMETER TOTAL COLIFORM DI DESA IBUL BESAR
The quality of refill drinking water is a crucial issue for public health. This study aims to analyze the quality of refill drinking water in Ibul Besar Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, based on total coliform parameters and evaluate the condition of buildings, sanitation facilities, equipment sanitation, handler hygiene, and water treatment processes at refill drinking water depots (DAMIU). The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and laboratory tests on five water samples. Total coliform parameters were tested using the membrane filter method according to the standards of the Minister of Health Regulation Number 2 of 2023. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to describe the sanitation conditions and operational practices of DAMIU. The results showed that all water samples from five depots tested positive for coliform contamination with concentrations ranging from 4 to 200 CFU/100 ml, exceeding the standard quality limit of 0 CFU/100 ml. Evaluation of depot conditions revealed that three of the five depots did not have basic sanitation facilities, while equipment sanitation, hygiene practices of handlers and water treatment processes did not fully meet applicable standards. This study concludes that regular supervision, operator training, and improvement of sanitation facilities are essential to ensure the quality of safe refill drinking water for the community.
