ANALISIS RISIKO KESEHATAN LINGKUNGAN PAJANAN GAS KARBON MONOKSIDA (CO) TERHADAP PEKERJA DI BENGKEL LAS PT PERTAMINA HULU ROKAN ZONA 4 KOTA PRABUMULIH TAHUN 2024
The welding process produces smoke containing metal and hazardous gas by-products such as NO2, CO, O3, and CO2. CO gas is produced in quite high concentrations compared to other gases, due to the interaction between high heat and carbon iron metal with oxygen in the air. The CO gas produced can increase the health risks of workers in the welding shop. This study aims to analyze the environmental health risks of CO gas exposure to workers in the welding shop of PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan Zone 4, Prabumulih City. This type of research is descriptive research using the Environmental Health Risk Analysis method. The research sample was 31 workers in the welding shop obtained by total sampling. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and CO gas measurements with the Aeroqual S500 tool. The results showed that the average CO concentration at the time of morning measurements at 6 points was 3.15 ppm and during the day 1.65 ppm. Exposure analysis in this study only used real-time intake values because exposure is non-carcinogenic, and the intake exposure value in the morning was 0.72 ppm, and during the day was 0.38 ppm. The results of the risk characterization calculation showed an RQ value ≤ 1 of 0.03 in the morning and 0.02 during the day. The conclusion of this study is that workers in the welding workshop of PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan Zone 4, Prabumulih City are not at risk of having non-carcinogenic health problems due to CO exposure. Suggestions for companies are to be able to carry out routine monitoring of welding equipment so that the concentration of CO gas produced can be maintained.
