Scabies is a skin infection caused by the infestation and sensitization of the Sarcoptes scabiei mite, easily transmitted from person to person and often occurs in Islamic boarding schools with a fairly high incidence rate. Environmental sanitation is a factor that plays a role in the incidence of scabies in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to determine environmental sanitation factors related to scabies in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analytical method with a Cross-Sectional approach. Sampling uses the total sampling technique. There are 89 respondents in this study that have been taken. The independent variable is the risk factor for scabies, the dependent variable is the incidence of scabies in male students at the Nurul Hikmah Air Kumbang Islamic Boarding School. Data collection uses questionnaires. This study uses the Spearman's rho test with the condition that if the significance value or p value = < 0.05, it can be said that there is a correlation/relationship between variables. The results of the Spearman's rho test showed that there was a meaningful relationship between lighting variables, bed hygiene, clothing hygiene, towel hygiene, antiseptic use and nutritional needs. Meanwhile, in the variable of water cleanliness, there was no meaningful relationship with the incidence of scabies. Based on the results of the distribution of respondents' answers related to the scabies incident at the Nurul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School, there were 32 people (36%) who said Yes, and there were 57 people (64%) who said No. So it can be concluded that poor environmental sanitation factors such as insufficient lighting in the dormitory, minimal ventilation and dense occupancy that is less well maintained can increase the incidence of scabies. The management of islamic boarding school is expected to improve poor environmental sanitation factors by repairing or adding ventilation to the dormitory so that sufficient lighting enters, inviting students to routinely carry out cleaning and maintain cleanliness in the islamic boarding school environment.
