PENGARUH BERBAGAI DOSIS KOMPOS AMPAS KELAPA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN PAKCOY (Brassica chinensis L.)
The need for mustard consumption in Indonesia in 2021 is 727,467 tons and in 2022 it is 760,608 tons, mustard productivity in Indonesia from 2021 to 2022 has increased by 33,141 tons. Judging from the data from the Central Agency (2023) shows that the interest in mustard consumption continues to increase and this indicates that pakcoy consumption is also increasing. Meanwhile, coconut production reaches 12,915 billion grains and ranks second in the world and produces waste in the form of coconut dregs. Utilization of coconut dregs waste to be used as environmentally friendly compost and reduce waste pollution. This study aims to determine effect of various doses of coconut dregs compost on the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.). The implementation of this research will be carried out on the Rooftop of YPU Building, Radial Street, 24 Ilir, Kec. Bukit Kecil, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research will be conducted in July - September 2023. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and three replicates. P0 = control (0), P1 = coconut dregs compost 100 g/polybag, P2 = coconut dregs compost 200 g/polybag, P3 = coconut dregs compost 300 g/polybag. The variables observed were leaf length, number of leaves, greenness of leaves, fresh weight of plants (leaves, stems, roots), dry weight of plants (leaves, stems, roots, and root length). The results showed that giving 300 g doses of coconut dregs compost gave the best response on growth and yield. Keywords: Pakcoy, Coconut Dregs, Compost
