RESPON KANDUNGAN SELULOSA, LIGNIN, DAN KARBOHIDRAT NON SERAT (NFC) SILASE RUMPUT BENTO RAYAP (Leersia hexandra) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN AKTIVATOR MOL BONGGOL PISANG
Bento Rayap Grass (Leersia hexandra) is type of swamp forages that can be used as ruminant feed. This study aimed to determine response of cellulose, lignin, and Non-Fiber Carbohydrate (NFC) content in Bento Rayap Grass silage with the addition of MOL activator banana trunk. This research was conducted from October to November 2024 at the Animal Nutrition and Diet Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with 4 (four) treatments and 4 (four) replicates. The treatments were as follows: P0 = Bento Rayap Grass (control), P1 = Bento Rayap Grass + 3% MOL banana trunk, P2 = Bento Rayap Grass + 6% MOL banana trunk, P3 = Bento Rayap Grass + 9% MOL banana trunk. The parameters seved cellulose, lignin and NFC content. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and post-hoc with Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (p0,05). The Duncan test results indicated that the cellulose content in the P3 treatment (24,07%) was lower than in the P2 (25,06%), P1 (27,76%), and P0 (29,39%). The NFC content in the P3 treatment (40,09%), was higher than in the P2 treatment (36,70%), while the P1 (35,54%) and P0 (35,46%) treatments did not differ significantly. The addition of 9% MOL activator banana trunk to Bento Rayap Grass silage resulted in the best outcome, reducing cellulose content to 24,07% and increasing NFC content to 40,09%.
