Galangal is a spice plant that is rich in benefits and has a high market share opportunity. In South Sumatra, one of the areas producing galangal is Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency. In Merah Mata Village, galangal farming is still carried out traditionally so that production factors are still few and sales are still controlled by middlemen. The objectives of this study were: (1) To calculating the income of galangal farming in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency, (2) To analyzing the factors that influence galangal farming production in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency, (3) To analyzing the allocative efficiency of galangal farming in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency. This study was conducted from July to August 2024 with 35 galangal farmer respondents using survey and observation methods. In data processing using the help of Excel and SPSS version 16 applications. The average income of galangal farming obtained by galangal farmers in Merah Mata Village was 45.743.809/ha/year. Production factors that have a significant effect on galangal plant production are Land Area and Labor, while production factors such as seeds, manure, urea fertilizer, phonska fertilizer, and pesticides do not have a significant effect on galangal farming production in Marah Mata Village. The use of production factors such as manure, pesticides, and labor is not yet efficient because its use is still small so it needs to be added, while the use of production factors in the form of land area, seeds, urea fertilizer, phonska fertilizer is not yet efficient because it is excessive in its use so it is necessary to reduce the amount of use of production factors to achieve efficiency.
