KERJASAMA UNICEF DAN SM ENTERTAINMENT DALAM MENDUKUNG PENDIDIKAN MUSIK MELALUI PROGRAM “SMile For U” DI VIETNAM
The "SMile For U" program is a collaboration between UNICEF and SM Entertainment to support music education for underprivileged children, individuals with disabilities, and ethnic minorities. This collaboration began after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korean Committee for UNICEF in November 2015. The research utilizes the concept of international cooperation by Robert O. Keohane and Robert Axelrod, with the research results indicating the role of cooperation between UNICEF and SM Entertainment through the dimension of mutuality, which involves the relationship between these two actors and their mutual dependence to achieve the goals of cooperation. Additionally, it involves the number of actors involved, including international organizations such as UNICEF, the multinational company SM Entertainment, and artists from SM who contribute to the collaboration. Finally, the "shadow of the future" aspect, which represents the future prospects of cooperation, shows that UNICEF and SM Entertainment are able to address and assist in addressing educational issues, especially music education, in Vietnam so that underprivileged children, individuals with disabilities, and ethnic minorities can experience and receive their rights to education. Keywords: Music Education, SM Entertainment, SMile For U, UNICEF, Vietnam.
