PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE STUDYING ROOM, PEER EDUCATION, DAN CROSSWORD PUZZLE (SURPRISE) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SANTRI TENTANG PERSONAL HYGIENE
Skin diseases such as tinea versicolor, ringworm, scabies, itching, and athlete's foot are diseases that have a high risk of infection in the pesantren environment. The high incidence of scabies disease in boarding schools is caused by one of the factors including poor personal hygiene caused by the lack of knowledge possessed by santri. One of the things that can be done to improve knowledge is to provide health education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education using the studying room, peer education, and crossword puzzle (SURPRISE) method on santri’s knowledge about personal hygiene. This research design is a quasi-experiment and pretest post test technique with control group. The sample amounted to 40 people who were taken using cluster sampling where each group both intervention and control consisted of 20 people. The results of the analysis using the Marginal Homogeneity test showed that there was a significant difference in knowledge between before and after being given health education in both the intervention and control groups with a p value of 0.000 (p value
