Knowledge about hypertension emergencies is still very lacking. Efforts to increase knowledge about hypertension emergencies are by providing POHIGENSI health education. This study uses a hypertension emergency poster (POHIGENSI). This study aims to determine the effect of health education with POHIGENSI on knowledge about hypertension emergencies. This research was a quantitative research with a Pre-experimental design with One-Group Pretest and Posttest. The number of samples in this study were 19 people who were selected using a non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. This research used a questionnaire created by researchers. The results of research using a paired sample t test obtained a significant p value = 0.000 (p value ˂ 0.05), meaning that there was a significant influence on knowledge about hypertension emergencies before and after receiving POHIGENSI health education. POHIGENSI can increase knowledge about hypertension emergencies so that this media can be used as a medium for health education.
