FENOMENA PEMBELIAN SEPATU IMITASI PADA MASYARAKAT LORONG LEMABANG KECAMATAN ILIR TIMUR II KOTA PALEMBANG
Imitation products can be understood as part of a social phenomenon involving the production, distribution and consumption of goods that imitate or copy genuine products already on the market. Imitation products in a sociological context are often analyzed in relation to social, economic and cultural dynamics. This research aims to find out the background of people buying imitation shoes in the Lorong Lemabang community. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The determination of informants in this research was carried out using purposive sampling with a total of 10 informants consisting of 6 main informants and 4 supporting informants. The data collection technique in this research is through observation and in-depth interviews with all informants as well as documentation as supporting data. The results of this research show that there are three reasons behind people buying imitation shoes, namely economics, social status and lack of knowledge. This research also shows that there are two factors that influence the purchase of imitation shoes, namely price and brand image. Keywords: Keywords: Shoes, Imitation Products, Society.
