STUDI KOMPARATIF : KINERJA BANK SYARIAH INDONESIA (BSI) SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH MERGER PERIODE 2018-2023

This research aims to analyze differences in the performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) before and after the merger in the 2018–2023 period. The research method uses the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach to measure efficiency, the Islamicity Performance Index (IPI) to assess conformity with sharia principles, and Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) as an indicator of social performance. Then, the Independent sample t test and the Mann Whitney Test as hypothesis tests to analyze the financial performance of each variable before and after the merger. This research utilizes secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of Bank Mandiri Syariah, Bank Rakyat Indonesia Syariah, Bank Negara Indonesia Syariah, and BSI. The research results show that there is no significant change in efficiency performance, the Islamicity Performance Index approach shows that there is a significant difference in the DEWR ratio, while the ISR indicator shows that there is a significant difference before and after the merger of Bank Syariah Indonesia.
