FORMULASI MODEL ROBUST UNCERTAIN SET COVERING PROBLEM PADA PERSOALAN LOKASI ALOKASI TEMPAT PENAMPUNGAN SEMENTARA SAMPAH DI KECAMATAN KEMUNING KOTA PALEMBANG
Waste collected from various sources requires a container to be able to accommodate, which is commonly referred to as a Temporary Waste Disposal Sites (TWDS). The effective implementation of TWDS infrastructure has the potential to mitigate the adverse impact of waste on the environment. This study aims to determine the optimal location of TWDS in Kemuning sub-district using the Covering Based Problem (CBP) model formulation, namely Set Covering Location Problem (SCLP), Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP), and p-Center Location Problem and develop the Robust Uncertain Set Covering Problem (RUSCP) model. The Kemuning sub-district is equipped with 23 TWDS, which are distributed across 6 villages. The CBP model formulation yielded 5 optimal TWDS, while the RUSCP model formulation resulted in 26 optimal TWDS. This study recommends the RUSCP model as the optimal solution to the problem of allocating the location of TWDS in Kemuning sub-district, with the addition of several new TWDS that can fulfil all demand points for each village in Kemuning sub-district Palembang City.
