Indonesia's need for foreign exchonge generuted from the export of variouscommodities is a cause of the need for insernational trade activities. This encouruges theutilization of each commodity in Indonesia to be marketed not only domestically but also tothe International Region. Cocoa is a leading commodity from Indonesia that hat varlousbenefits and is needed by countries that do not have the capacity to grow this commodity.The European Union is a region that has an indusry that utilizes cocoa commodities andIndonesia is one of the countries that is the main spplier of cocoa commodities to severalcountries in this region. Estonia, the Netheriands, Germany, Spain, and Belgium arecountries that have industries that depend on cocon commodities and need suppliers suchas Indonesia so that the industries in these countries can run smoothly. The EUDeforestation Regulationa new breakshrough that applies due diligence to varioutcommodities that want to be marketed in the Europeun Union. Which is where commoditiesthat are considered to have deforested in their utlization cannot be marketed in this region.This research aims toexplain what strategies need to be carried out by the Indonesiangovernment in dealing with the Et Deforestation Regulation using the concept ofCommercial Diplomacy by Oliver Naray. The method used is a qualitative research method.The results showed that the Government of Indonesia carried out Facilitation, Reportingand Representation activities in dealing with the EU Deforestation regulation.
