This research begins with world economic relations which are supported by trade liberalization which cannot be avoided by all countries, thereby encouraging the formation of international trade blocs. This research aims to look at the implications of Indonesia's membership in the D-8 trade block and its impact on the development of Indonesia's political economy. The method used is qualitative with comparative and descriptive analytical study methods with primary data sources originating from interviews and secondary data originating from literature studies. The theory used is neoliberalism which describes the concepts of contracts and rationality using factors such as Economic Growth & Trade Expansion, Increased trade & investment proposed by Karunya Dahikar. The results of this research conclude that Economic Growth & Trade Expansion in D-8 has positive implications for Indonesia which has a significant impact on increasing Indonesian exports to D-8. Meanwhile, Increased trade & investment in D-8 also has positive implications for Indonesia with the many promotions of economic cooperation carried out by Indonesia to D-8 as well as the flow of D-8 invest to Indonesia.
