UJI AKTIVITAS DIURETIK EKSTRAK ETANOL HERBA SIRIH CINA (Peperomia pellucida. L.) PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR
Chinese Betel Herb Ethanol Extract (Peperomia pellucida. L.) is known to contain secondary metabolites, including phenolic compounds that are suspected to have the potential to be diuretics. This study aims to evaluate the diuretic effect of ethanol extract of Chinese betel herb. A total of 30 mice were divided into six treatment groups: normal group (given aquades), negative group (given NaCl 4.5%), positive group (given furosemide 20 mg/kgBW), and test groups I, II, and III which were given Chinese betel herb ethanol extract at doses of 100 mg/kgBW, 200 mg/kgBW, and 400 mg/kgBW, respectively. The observed parameters included an increase in urine volume and levels of Na+, K+, and Cl- ions.
