PENDEKATAN HUMAN CAPITAL PADA KESENJANGAN UPAH PEKERJA BERBASIS GENDER DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
This study aims to analyze the extent of the gender-based wage gap in workers in South Sumatra Province. The data used was obtained from the August 2023 SAKERNAS Questionnaire of the South Sumatra Central Statistics Agency totaling 12,445 selected respondent samples. The data analyzed included education level, training, category of residence for the past 5 years and work experience. This study uses multiple regression and Blinder-Oaxaca Decomposition, which aims to evaluate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The results of the analysis show that the variables of education level, training, category of residence for the past 5 years and work experience are still biased towards male workers compared to female workers, the rest is explained by other variables not used in this study. The difference in wages between men and women with differences in the variables analyzed (explained) - 29.35 percent and the difference in wages caused by discrimination factors (unexplained) 129.35 percent.
