PENGARUH PANJANG SAYAP TERHADAP DAYA DUKUNG PONDASI FOLDED PLATE PADA TANAH GAMBUT
(In foundation design, bearing capacity and soil type are components that greatly influence the determination of the type of foundation. Peat soil is organic soil that has poor physical and technical properties, a high void ratio with high water content, and low specific gravity makes peat soil have low bearing capacity. Folded plate is one of the modification models of shallow foundations with practical shapes and sizes, folded plate is shaped like square footing foundations with flanges on both sides. This research uses a folded plate modelling with a size of 150 mm x 150 mm with a thickness of 25 mm with a variation in flange length of 0.5B; 0.75B; 1B; 1.25B; 0.5B where B is the width of the flat plate. Load testing is carried out in a test tank with a static loading test method using a load plate. The results of the test show that the bearing capacity of the folded plate foundation is greater than the bearing capacity of the footing foundation with the largest increase in the 1.5B variation of 48.59% (tangent intersection method) and 38.69% (mazurkiewicz method). The increase in the bearing capacity of the folded plate foundation increases as the flange length increases, with the largest increase in bearing capacity occurring at the longest flange length on the folded plate, namely the 1.5 B flange variation with a bearing capacity of 8,972 kPa (tangent intersection method) and 13,328 kPa (mazurkiewicz method).
