This research discussed the changes in social solidarity within the tradition of "jinjatan sedekah" (a local charity tradition) that has undergone a transformation in Aromantai Village. This research aims to analyze and understand the changes in the form of social solidarity within the "jinjatan sedekah" tradition in Aromantai Village. The research used descriptive- qualitative method with a phenomenological research strategy. The research employs the theory of social solidarity by Emile Durkheim. The data were collected from one key informant, five main informants, and four supporting informants through interviews, participant observation, and documentation, which were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman (2014) analysis technique. The findings indicate that the mechanical solidarity of the community in the transformation of the "jinjatan sedekah" tradition has not undergone significant change. However, it has begun to show some characteristics of organic social solidarity. Keywords: jinjatan sedekah tradition, social solidarity, social change.
