The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia in 2020 is still high compared to several other countries in Southeast Asia. Most maternal deaths are caused by complications during pregnancy and childbirth, which can be prevented or managed. This study aims to analyze the determinants of the incidence of pregnancy complications in Indonesia. This research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design using secondary data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (IHS). The sampling technique was carried out by total sampling, with a total sample size of 50,221 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Complex Sample method.
