PENINGKATAN KEKUATAN TEMBUS KERTAS KRAFT YANG DIIMPREGNASI CAMPURAN MINYAK DIALA B DAN MINYAK KEDELAI
This thesis contains the results of a study regarding increasing the penetration strength of Kraft Paper Impregnated with a Mixture of Diala B Oil and Soybean Oil as an alternative mixture to reduce the use of transformer oil. To obtain the best mixture composition of transformer oil and soybean oil, samples were prepared with compositions in percentages of 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50 for kraft paper impregnation. The kraft paper sample is rectangular in size 30 mm x 30 mm with a thickness of 0.08 mm. Impregnation was made for 24, 48 and 72 hours. After impregnation the sample was dried for 12 hours before testing. This test was carried out using a needle-plate electrode with a distance between the electrode and the surface of the sample paper of 1 mm. The applied alternating high voltage is increased at an increase rate of 100 V/s. Breakdown voltage test results on kraft paper samples impregnated at compositions 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50 with time variations of 24, 48 and 72 hours respectively at composition 80:20 of 4,046 kV; 4,059 kV; 4,196 kV for a 70:30 composition of 3,800 kV; 3,812 kV; 3,875 kV in samples with a composition of 60:40 of 3,727 kV; 3,767 kV; 3,792 kV and for the 50:50 composition it is 3,529 kV; 3,639 kV; 3,682 kV. These results show that the best mixing composition is found in the 80:20 composition because in this process there is an increase in the highest penetrating strength.
