This study discusses the phenomenon of women experiencing Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) on cosmetics in social media TikTok in 15 ULU, Jakabaring, Palembang City. FOMO can influence individuals through their feelings, encouraging them to purchase products or follow certain trends. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of FOMO among women in the digital era, understand the use of conspicuous leisure and conspicuous consumption, and the role of social media and environment in driving consumption due to FOMO. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological strategy, utilizing the Leisure Class theory by Thorstein Bunde Veblen. Data were obtained from ten main informants and three supporting informants through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results show that women experience social pressure to follow cosmetic trends on TikTok, creating Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). FOMO makes them feel the need to buy popular cosmetic products. The use of TikTok during conspicuous leisure allows them to follow trends and display social status through conspicuous consumption. According to Thorstein Veblen's Leisure Class theory, purchasing trendy cosmetics reveals their social status and identity as individuals who follow trends and have good taste. Buying trendy cosmetics on TikTok not only reflects their financial ability but also their efforts to strengthen social identity and status in the eyes of society, becoming a tool to claim social prestige in the digital era. Keywords: Women, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), Cosmetics, 15 ULU.
