UJI AKTIVITAS PENYEMBUHAN LUKA BAKAR SUB MIKROEMULSI EKSTRAK DAUN SAMBILOTO DENGAN KOMBINASI TWEEN 80 DAN PEG-400 TERHADAP TIKUS GALUR WISTAR
Sambiloto has secondary metabolite compounds that are active as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial which have the potential to be developed into sub-microemulsion preparations for burns. This study aims to provide a sub-microemulsion preparation of sambiloto leaf extract (Andrographis paniculata) with a combination of Tween 80 and PEG-400 as an innovative preparation and burn activity test against the Wistar strain. This study was divided into 5 treatment groups, namely the normal control group, positive control (Tekasol), negatif control, 1% sambiloto cream and 1% sambiloto extract sub-microemulsion. Based on the evaluation results, the 1% sambiloto extract sub-microemulsion preparation had an average particle size of 97.396 ± 36.108 nm, and a polydispersity index of 0.247 ± 0.026 with an adsorption efficiency of 99.401 ± 0.002%. The results of the burn treatment test on Wistar rats obtained a positive control group of 90.60 ± 2.68%, negatif control 62.88 ± 2.30%, 1% sambiloto cream 86.47 ± 2.64% and 1% sambiloto microemulsion sub extract 92.31 ± 1.02%. Based on the results of the burn healing activity, the 1% sambiloto extract sub microemulsion group showed good wound healing results compared to the positive control. The results of the histopathology of the sub microemulsion group showed 88% tissue regeneration in the formation of new epidermis and 90% dermis tissue regeneration characterized by high fibroblasts, dominant collagen deposition and low inflammatory cells that were no different from the normal group.
