ANALISIS KESESUAIAN PERLENGKAPAN KESELAMATAN PADA LAYANAN TRANSPORTASI MOBIL BUS MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA

The Sriwijaya University Student Bus is one of the most important transportation services for Sriwijaya University students. The back and forth system on the Student Bus is carried out approximately 6 times in 1 day of operation. This back and forth system can pose a danger of fatigue to the bus driver so that the bus unit can be at risk of traffic accidents. Then the road route traveled by the bus is a cross provincial road that is busy with large vehicles. This research aims to protect drivers as workers involved in the transportation industry and service users through compliance of safety equipment with regulatory standards. This research is a qualitative study by observing the Sriwijaya University Student Bus unit and in depth interviews with Student Bus Drivers and Passengers. The results of these interviews will then be compared with the relevant regulations. The results showed that safety equipment such as Safety Belts, Spare Tires, Safety Triangles, Jacks, Wheel Openers, and First Aid Kits are in accordance with Permenhub No. 74 of 2021 and Government Regulation No. 55 of 2012. For Exit Access in the form of Emergency Windows and Emergency Doors, Emergency Windows are not in accordance with Permenhub No. 74 of 2021 and Government Regulation No. 55 of 2012, while Emergency Doors are in accordance with Permenhub No. 74 of 2021 and Government Regulation No. 55 of 2012. While Emergency Response Equipment such as APAR still has aspects that are not in accordance with Permenhub No.13 of 2024, namely the number and layout of APAR. The Emergency Door Control Tool is not available and not suitable, the Glass Breaking Tool is suitable and the Shoring Tool is in accordance with Permenhub No. 74 of 2021 and Government Regulation No. 55 of 2012. Service provider companies should be able to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of safety equipment that does not comply with regulations.
