In recent decades, many train accidents have occurred both minor and catastrophic accidents. The accidents caused a huge loss for both the company and victims. An explosion accident of a gas cylinder within the train occurred in Pakistan in 2019, causing a small fire. In addition, data from The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) reported that in 2018, an Eksa-1 Train from Madiun Station experienced a technical issue that caused small fire accidents accompanied by a puff of smoke was successfully extinguished using a fire extinguisher by a foreign worker who worked on duty at that time. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the alignment of emergency safety equipment fulfillment on trains specifically at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) UPT Balai Yasa Lahat with the regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. 24 of 2015 concerning Railway Safety Standards. The method used in this research is qualitative research with an observational approach to analyze the data and present it in a scientific narrative. The result of the study explains that the fulfillment of safety equipment on trains at PT Kereta Ap Indonesia (Persero) UPT Balai Yasa Lahat is considered to have met the safety standards according to the regulation of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 24 of 2015. Although it has been well fulfilled, the company can consider the fulfillment of additional safety equipment such as wheelchairs and hopes there will be further research of emergency safety equipment fulfillment on the entire trains, so the comprehensive condition of emergency safety equipment on trains can be known.
