There are various sources of information, one of which is mass media which is still very popular and survives in this era, namely television media. There are many shows and programs broadcast on television, such as news. This reaserch entitled the effect of reporting on bullying in school on parents anxiety levels. The focus of the news in this research is news about bullying in schools. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of reporting on bullying at school on anxiety levels (study of parents of students at SMP Negeri 34 Palembang). The data obtained in this thesis is based on observations, documentation studies and questionnaires that have been distributed to 90 parents of students at SMP Negeri 34 Palembang as respondents using descriptive quantitative methods. This research uses Cultivation Theory (George Gerbner, 1969) where there are two categories of audience, namely heavy (influenced) and low (less influenced). Based on correlation and determination testing, the influence between bullying reporting variables on the anxiety level variable of parents of students (respondents) at SMP Negeri 34 Palembang was 61.6%.
