HUBUNGAN ANTARA INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN, KONSTRUKSI, TRANSPORTASI, DAN INDEKS KUALITAS LINGKUNGAN HIDUP DI PULAU JAWA
This study is to analyze the relationship between the added value of the manufacturing industry, construction, transportation, and the Environmental Quality Index. This study uses time span data for the period 2013-2022 and observes six provinces in Java. This study applies a panel data Granger causality model. The findings in this study indicate that there is evidence of a unidirectional relationship from the added value of the Manufacturing Industry to the Environmental Quality Index, this implies that the added value of the manufacturing Industry Granger significantly causes the Environmental Quality Index. In addition, there is evidence that the added value of the construction industry Granger significantly causes the Environmental Quality Index. Meanwhile, there is no evidence of a relationship between the Transportation Industry and the Environmental Quality Index, either in two directions or in one direction. These findings imply the need for comprehensive environmental quality improvement mitigation policies, especially in the use of more environmentally friendly energy and energy efficiency in the manufacturing industry, construction, and transportation sectors.
