Solar energy is a source of energy whose availability is unlimited and environmentally friendly. Excessive radiation and high environmental temperatures can cause serious problems such as overheating of solar panels. High temperature on the panel can reduce the output voltage, efficiency, and shorten the life of the solar module. Thus, it is necessary to have a solar panel cooling system so that the panels can work optimally. This research aims to maintain the output power of solar panels by using a cooling medium in the form of a perforated plate made from ACP. This research uses 2 ACP plates measuring 96cm x 60cm with each hole designed with a diameter of 7.5mm and 10mm. The plate with the largest hole, namely 10mm, shows a greater temperature drop compared to other hole diameters, when the highest radiation value of 1009 W/m2 produces a temperature of 58°C on the solar panel without a perforated plate, while on a plate with a hole with a diameter of 10mm there is a temperature decrease of 42°C. The 10mm hole diameter cooling plate has the highest output power of 65.16 W compared to the other two solar panels. This research shows that reducing the temperature on the panel can improve the performance of the solar panel.
