PENGARUH PREMI DAN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX TERHADAP TOTAL ASET ASURANSI DI ASEAN-5
ASEAN-5 countries face unique challenges in keeping their total assets stable. Their still-developing economies and financial structures that are vulnerable to external changes make ASEAN-5 countries more susceptible to the impact of premiums and HDI that will affect total assets in their countries. However, research on the effect of premiums and human development index on total assets has not received much attention. This study tries to analyze the effect of premiums and human development index on total assets in ASEAN-5 countries. This study uses secondary data within the time frame of 2020 to 2022 and the scope of 5 ASEAN countries by obtaining data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Our World In Data. The analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression with the Random Effect Model (REM) type. The findings show that premiums have a significant effect on total assets. This research results in high premium growth can occur due to a country's government policies that support the insurance industry and the quality of a country's superior and advanced human resources, so the country tends to have good regulations and policies that can support life insurance with the aim of protecting individual people.
