KAUSALITAS PENGELUARAN PEMERINTAH, DESENTRALISASI FISKAL, DAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI PROVINSI SUMATERA BAGIAN SELATAN
This research aims to analyze the causality of government spending, fiscal decentralization, and economic growth in Southern Sumatra Province. The data used in this research is panel data in the form of annual time series data from 2014-2023 and cross sections which are observations of five provinces in Southern Sumatra, namely South Sumatra, Jambi, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, and Bengkulu. This data was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and APBD data. This research method uses an approach with the Panel Vector Error Correction Model (P-VECM) which has previously gone through several other statistical stages. The results of the cointegration test show that only the variables Government Expenditure and Fiscal Decentralization, Government Expenditure and Economic Growth have a one-way relationship in the long term. Meanwhile, the test results of P-VECM based causality show that the variables Fiscal Decentralization and Government Expenditure, Economic Growth and Fiscal Decentralization have a one-way relationship and the variables Government Expenditure and Economic Growth have a causal or two-way relationship. Keywords: Government Expenditure, Physical Decentralization, Economic Growth, Panel Vector Error Correction Model
