Affordable housing are an alternative to meet the housing needs of lower middle income people in the region 3 & 4 Ulu Palembang. This plan includes the function of a residential affordable housing, mosque, area culinary, retail, sports fields, etc. In addition to functioning as a functional, simple flats is expected to accommodate the public. Taking into account that the majority of prospective residents is lower middle class society, then the behavior architectural concept plans will implement matters related to the orientation of the user and app/ication environment, such as variations in the type of occupancy, many open spaces as media interaction, providing a place of business as an economic stimulant occupants, as well as the optimization of materials and natural resources considering building flats designed a simple and environmentally friendly. Looking at the existing State of the area adjacent to the consideration of the structure of the Musi river in the swamp area is used to keep the soil bearing capacity. The design of the affordable housing on the building will adapt the building as energy ejficient, while the mass of low-income housing and a culinary area will adapt traditional building materials such as wood thread on the facade.
