Abandoned land often leads to conflicts between parties, necessitating appropriate legal efforts. This research aims to determine, (1) the authority of the Government over abandoned land based on the Job Creation Law; and (2) the legal consequences for the owners of abandoned land and their rights to the land if the land they own is declared abandoned by the Government. The type of research used is Normative Legal Research with a statutory approach and a content analysis approach. The research results indicate that (1) the Government has the authority to regulate and manage the allocation, use, supply, and maintenance of land, both contained and above the land, as well as to organize the allocation, use, supply, and maintenance of land. In addition, the government also regulates the legal relationship between landowners and the land they own in order to avoid undesirable losses.
