PENGARUH INFLASI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI NEGARA-NEGARA YANG MENERAPKAN ITF
This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation on economic growth in countries that implement the Inflation Targeting Framework (ITF). ITF is a monetary policy framework that focuses on controlling inflation as a nominal anchor to achieve price stability. Countries such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Spain, and Indonesia have adopted ITF as a strategy to stabilize the economy. This study uses panel data from the six countries during the period 2019-2022 and applies a regression model with the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM) methods to analyze the relationship between inflation, economic growth, population, trade openness, and human capital. The results of the study show that inflation has a significant effect on economic growth, although there is variation between countries in the response to inflation. Overall, the ITF has proven effective in maintaining price stability and supporting economic growth, but some countries have difficulty balancing low inflation and optimal economic growth.
