ANALISIS SINTESIS NANOSILIKA BERBAHAN DASAR FLY ASH MENGGUNAKAN METODE PRESIPITASI DENGAN VARIASI WAKTU PENGERINGAN
Nanosilica is a type of silica with a particle size ranging from 1 to 100 nm, which serves to enhance the compressive strength of concrete. It can be synthesized from fly ash waste. This study utilized fly ash, H₂SO₄ solution, NaOH, and distilled water, synthesized using the precipitation method. Drying times of 1, 2, 3, and 4 hours were applied as variables. Microstructural analysis was conducted using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD results revealed that longer drying times increased particle size and the amorphous percentage. Based on XRF and SEM analyses, excessively short or long drying times reduced silica content. The optimal drying time was found to be 2 hours, producing silica with a purity of ±74.39%, a crystal size of 20.20 nm, 6.97% crystallinity, and 93.03% amorphous content.
