This study aims to analyze the social changes of areca farmers in Talang Taling Village, Gelumbang Subdistrict, especially at this time there is a change in farmers who greatly increase the price of areca nuts selling and buying ketoke areca. This research also uses Soekanto's theory. The research method used was purposive method involving 8 main informants. Data were collected through in- depth interviews and participatory observations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the social changes of areca farmers in the situation that includes economic, social, educational, occupational, health, lifestyle conditions, in dealing with social changes. The results showed that the social conditions of areca nut farmers in Talang Taling Village. Gelumbang Subdistrict, experienced a very significant change at this time. The changes experienced by the farming community are very prosperous and in their diet they are very much compared to when they planted rubber, and their rubber has been replaced by areca nut. this is an expert in areca nut and the price of areca nut is now increasing every year, in the change of areca nut farmers also changed a lot in life compared to when planting rubber trees.
